You’re never too old for gold

Ping Pong is a British feature length documentary that is being released this summer, just in time for the Olympics and coinciding with the European Year of Active Ageing.

The film follows eight competitors (with 703 years between them!) as they compete to become the oldest table tennis world champion in a competition in Inner Mongolia.

Prepare to meet Australian legend Dorothy de Low, who at 99 years old was the oldest competitor at the competition. Other stars of the movie are Terry (81), who competes despite being struck down with cancer twice, and Inge (89), who has used table tennis as a way to combat dementia.

Ping Pong has two screenings scheduled in Scotland – one in Aberdeen and one in Edinburgh – although dates are not yet confirmed. Learn more about the film at the official website,
